I stumbled upon this… this meme.

"AUSTRALIAN KISS. Sort of like a French Kiss... But Down Under."

Now, I'm not saying I'm a world traveler, but I have been to places where they don't have kangaroos hopping down the street. And I've had my fair share of… interactions. But this meme, it got me thinking. What is an Australian kiss?

Is it like, you're in Sydney, and you're going for a peck on the cheek, but then a rogue wave from the Pacific just washes over you, and suddenly you're sort of… upside down? And you accidentally end up kissing someone's elbow? Because that's what "down under" implies, right? Everything's a bit topsy-turvy.

I mean, a French kiss. We all know what that is. It's like a verbal argument, but with tongues. It's passionate, it's a little messy, and you usually end up needing a breath mint. It's a whole production.

But an Australian kiss? I imagine it involves more… wildlife. Like, you're leaning in for a romantic moment, and suddenly a koala decides your earlobe looks like a particularly tasty eucalyptus leaf. And you're just there, trying to maintain eye contact, while simultaneously fending off a sleepy marsupial. That's not romantic, that's an episode of Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom.

Or maybe it's the sheer heat. Australia, right? It's hot. Like, "my car interior spontaneously combusts" hot. So, an Australian kiss is probably just… sweating on each other. A lot. You lean in, and it's less of a tender embrace and more of a communal sauna session. You're not sharing a kiss, you're sharing a mild heatstroke.

And the "down under" part. Does that mean it's… a dare? Like, "I bet you can't kiss me with a Vegemite sandwich in my mouth!" Because I've heard stories about Vegemite. It's like Marmite, but… more aggressive. It's the kind of taste that makes you question all your life choices up to that point. So, a kiss involving that? That's not a kiss, that's a culinary challenge.

I tried to do some research, you know, for accuracy. I asked my mate Dave, who has been to Australia. He just looked at me, took a long swig of his beer, and said, "Mate, it's just kissing. But you're probably drunk."

So, there you have it, folks. The Australian kiss: it's probably just regular kissing, but with a higher probability of sunburn, a lingering taste of Vegemite, and the faint scent of eucalyptus. Thank you, you've been a wonderful audience! Drive safe, and try not to kiss any wombats on the way home!

You know, I was at the doctor's the other day.

You know, I was at the doctor's the other day. Yes, I know, shocking. I'm usually more of a "self-diagnose with WebMD and panic" kind of guy. But this time, something was actually wrong. I had these… these marks. On the inside of my thighs. Green marks. (Leans into the mic conspiratorially) Now, before you start picturing me wrestling with a giant leprechaun, let me tell you, it wasn't that exciting. I'm sitting there, trying to explain this to my doctor, who, by the way, looked suspiciously like the guy in this cartoon. Same suit, same slightly-too-wide tie, same look in his eyes that says, "I've seen it all, and most of it was probably your fault." So I’m telling him, "Doctor, I have two green marks on the inside of my thighs." And he’s just staring at me, stroking his chin, probably thinking about his golf handicap. Then, he looks up, and he asks me, completely out of the blue, "Does your husband have pierced ears?" (Pauses...

So, I was at my nephew's birthday party the other day, right?

So, I was at my nephew's birthday party the other day, right? And it got me thinking about toys. Remember toys? Back in my day, we had action figures, dolls... simple times. Now, my nephew, bless his little eight-year-old heart, he's asking for a Barbie AND a G.I. Joe for his birthday. And his mom, bless her even more tired heart, she’s trying to be all reasonable, you know? She says, "Honey, doesn't Barbie come with Ken?" And my nephew, he just looks at her with this deadpan expression, like he's explaining quantum physics to a toddler. He goes, "No, she comes with G.I. Joe. She fakes it with Ken." I swear, I almost choked on my lukewarm party pizza. Fakes it with Ken! That's some next-level childhood cynicism right there. I mean, I grew up thinking Barbie and Ken were the ultimate power couple. They had a dream house, a dream car, a dream life... probably a dream dog too, named Sparky. And here's my nephew, basically saying Barbie's jus...

I was looking at this picture, and it reminded me of my own childhood.

I was looking at this picture, and it reminded me of my own childhood. My dad, bless his heart, he was never the most… handy man. He tried. Oh, he tried. But his attempts at DIY were less "home improvement" and more "home demolition." So, I see this dad here, all relaxed in his big comfy chair, looking like he's about to get the haircut of a lifetime. And then you have the kids. One’s holding up a picture, like, "Look, Dad, this is what we're going for!" And the other one, with the scissors and the comb, looking like a tiny, terrifying barber. Now, my dad, he’d try to cut our hair sometimes. He’d get out these clippers, you know, the ones that sound like a lawnmower having a nervous breakdown? And he’d be like, "Don't move! This is for your own good!" And we’d be sitting there, eyes squeezed shut, feeling like we were on the operating table of a mad scientist. And the worst part? He’d always leave us with these… unique hairstyles. One...
